Using IE8?

Thanks to Peter the Beta for pointing out some problems seeing Ordnance Survey data when using Internet Explorer 8. All other browsers and operating systems seem fine, but IE8 has a problem with the Ordnance Survey software. Here’s how you get to see the maps in all their dragging and zooming glory:

  • Whilst you’re on this page, click “Tools” in Internet Explorer
  • Click “Compatibility View Settings”
  • Click “Add” where it appears next to escapetocontinue.co.uk
  • Press “Close”

    • You should be able to see the detailed OS maps now, as well as the option of Google maps. You might like to think about installing a better browser such as Firefox…
